RACING RITCHEY

Our courier Karel aka ‘Klokke’ is our elite racer. He is racing in Belgian Elite level on both disciplines: Road Race and Cyclo Cross. He is a perfect example to prove that steel bikes still have their saying even on such a high level.

During the weekdays he is working in our team as courier and on weekends he is racing. Therefore he is regarded sometimes as the modern working class version of the lives of the legends like Fausto Coppi or Ottavio Bottecchia.

Last saturday was the before last race of the season. Alsemberg was bathing in sun. Not really the usual weather. Arrived on spot I saw it was a track made for me. Bit of uphill and open field. Was standing on the last row at the start. Good that nobody saw that gap at the right and was almost wat the half of the pack in the first corner. I was my best b cross! 3th cross! We evolve! 1st one 36th, 2nd 35th and yesterday 34th. The day was filled with sun and good legs. Little by little I could take some places. I was at 8 seconds from a group of 6 when I lost my chain twice. But did not give up. Then in the before last lap my derailleur broke. Good legs but tired gear. Getting the cross feeling back! Yesterday 2nd cross, Nossegem's Patattencross was like last week. Full sunshine with a dry and fast track. On those bumps it was not easy not to fly. Was riding with bit to low pressure but it was nice. Those @ritcheylogic rims got few direct hits but they are strong! Not to much cleaning after the race neither. 1st race today! And got the first taste of a B-Cross in Kasterlee. This is another level. Start in the back but no way to go to the front. Its time to get used to other surfaces and see where I can get myself between those beasts. Result: 36/43 #ritcheylogic #ritcheyrides #cyclocross #belgium

Last race was a blast! Heusdenkoers in Ghent. The world championship of "kermiskoersen"! Hammering 170km at 45,8 avg. Together with pro's like Keisse!
